BECOMING A MEMBER

Full member

  • must be a "director-producer", i.e. responsible, in whole or in part, for the financial success of the production of the film for which they are also the director and for which the aim is artistic; either as an individual through a company located in Belgium of which they are the manager, director or majority shareholder; or as an individual domiciled in Belgium (legal entities are not accepted);
  • must have directed or co-directed at least one feature-length film, one medium-length film or two short films (fiction, documentary, experimental, animation) that have been selected for at least one category 1 Festival or similar, OR broadcast on a 1V channel, OR released in commercial theaters; AND/OR earn their livelihood from their activity as "director-producer";
  • must be approved by the Annual General Meeting;
  • are entitled to vote ;
  • may be members of the Board of Directors.

adherent member

  • must be directors;
  • must have made at least one feature film or two short films (fiction, documentary, experimental, animation) selected for at least one category 1 Festival or similar, OR broadcast on a TV channel, OR released in commercial cinemas;
    AND/OR earn their livelihood as "director-producers";
  • must be approved by the Annual General Meeting;
  • must adhere to the ARPi statutes and Charter;
  • are not entitled to vote;
  • may not be members of the Board of Directors, but may attend at the invitation of the Board.

sympathizing member

  • are individuals concerned by the future of cinema or culture in the broadest sense, in Belgium or abroad;
  • must be approved by the General Meeting;
    must adhere to the ARPi Articles of Association and Charter;
  • are not entitled to vote;
  • may not be members of the Board of Directors, but may attend at the invitation of the Board.
