Thierry Dory is a Belgian director and producer based in Limelette (Walloon Brabant). He creates gentle social comedies rooted in everyday life in Brussels and Wallonia, offering a warm and often poetic perspective on his characters.
The director of a series of acclaimed short films—including *Avenue Louise* (2018), *Le Commis conteur* (2003), and *Léon Noël / 22h14* —he produces his films through Belgian Waffles Films Factory and Did Guibbels! Films. His documentary La Sagesse de nos arbres (2024) marks a shift toward nature and positive ecology films, shot in the forests of Wallonia and Brussels.
His approach to filmmaking is one of the carrot rather than the stick: he seeks to win people over through beauty and humor rather than through fear or guilt.
